NORTH ADAMS —  A tiny, family-owned enterprise that has designed plastic coin holders for more than 40 several years has been offered to a California-centered agency that manufactures resources for photo and scrapbooking albums and protecting sleeves for pc tablets.

Air-Tite Holders on Curran Freeway recently was marketed for $1.4 million to a local affiliate of Extremely Professional Worldwide, of Commerce, Calif., in accordance to documents filed at the Northern Berkshire Registry of Deeds in Adams.

Extremely Pro, launched in 1952, is a top maker of sports activities and gaming collectible add-ons, in accordance to its website. The disposable protective sleeves are trademarked.

Ultra Professional also owns Hanover Components, of Minnetonka, Minn., a distributor of items created from purely natural or gentleman-designed fibers. Air-Tite by now is listed with Hanover as a subsidiary of Ultra Professional on that company’s web site, and North Adams Mayor Thomas Bernard mentioned the new proprietors plan to keep the organization in the city and sustain it in its current form.
