first national federation was established in 2001 in Italy,
the country where skyrunning initiated. The object of the
federation is to govern, promote and expand sport at high
altitude in Italy and is waiting for national IOC recognition.
Entitled FSA Italia, the federation has an Italian version
of this site along with specific Italian-related news.
