The Federation for Sport at Altitude (FSA):
The object of the statue of the association founded December 11,
1995 is the formation, promotion and regulation of athletes and
events at or above 4,000 meters above sea level.
The Board of Directors: (Marino Giacometti, President,
Nancy Hobbs, Creigh Kelley, Giulio Roi, Ugo Savardi, Lauri van
Houten) as per the statute, will manage the program in general,
the shares, the balance; nominate the active members and the committees;
convoke the assembly every year and draw up the agenda. The duration
of the commission is four years.
The General Assembly: The General Assembly is constituted
by the founder members and a representative from each significant
geographic area: Antonio Carrel, Paolo Fornoni, Marino Giacometti,
Adriano Greco, Creigh Kelley, Camillo Onesti, Matteo Pellin, Giulio
Roi, Ugo Savardi, Lauri van Houten, Jordi Marimon (Spain), German
Silva (Mexico). The majority votes the program, the balance, the
nomination of honorary members and the Agenda of the Board of
Directors.

FSA Associates: All American Trail Running Association,
ERCI (Extreme Runners Club International), FSA Italy, Federaciò

Committee, Skyrunners Sporting Club, Federacion Mexicana de Deportes
de Altitud, Club du Sport Val d'Isere and other bodies operating
in sport and promotion at high altitude.
Associated and FSA Sanctioned Races: Races at high
altitude with features conforming to the FSA statute may be sanctioned
by or associated with the FSA. Organisers are obliged to comply
with the rules of each discipline and operate according to the
FSA Race Organisation Manual.
Scientific Committee - Peak Performance Project
The committee is responsible for co-ordinating the research protocols
by researchers or institutes operating at high altitude. The Committee,
in collaboration with the Medical and Technical Committees and
other bodies, promotes training camps, tests and the medical certification
of athletes as well as establishing new research programs at high
altitude.
Medium Term Program: The primary objectives of the federation
are the consociation of all races at high altitude, initiated
by the first World Skyrunning Championship in 98, the documentation
of performance sports at altitude, the medical certification of
athletes and the establishment of various high altitude events.
